In 1981,a legend is born.His name is immortal.So his hat and whip.Raiders of Lost Ark is very funny,entertaning and full of great action sequences(the boulder chase and the fight between Indy and the swordsman).Harrison Ford is the perfect personification of the adventure.I mean,can you imagine Raiders without Harrison?Fuck no.Indiana Jones is a immortal character that will always take us to a fun ride for many many years.
My all time favorite movie,Raiders of the Lost Ark is an oustanding masterpiece,courtesy of Steven Spielberg -

It wasn't half bad. I mean, they at least did their research as to how the Bible describes the Ark, but they hardly ever discussed that God was its power source, mainly in Biblical times. This film has amazing effects for its time, especially near the end. I think we all know what I'm referring to.

A good action movie that shows what you can do without the need for a huge budget or modern computer elements. The story holds up well to this day and the characters are well fleshed out through the portrayals of Harrison Ford, Karen Allen, & co. A good movie to watch, especially for the melting face gag.

This is where i fear a backlash as Raiders of The Lost Ark has let me down, after watching it for the first time in almost 10 years i reliased mot much actually happens there are long gaps between the action scenes and then when they do happen im left questioning why the 10 men around him cant see Indy creeping or attacking sumone. A good adventure movie but not the classic i rememeber.

MCT:August 5, 2008The movie that started it all. Death traps, and snakes, and medallion scars. Bullwhips, and beautiful women and Nazis. Oh and don't forget the hat. Harrison Ford at the peak of the rugged good-lookingness. This is the movie that shows you what really happens when you back into the propellor of an airplane or open the Ark of the Covenant. Both result in much messiness.

this show is rather cool
i've triend watching it a few times but couldn't maintain my interest as it looked kinda old fashion but once u get through the initial part ir's great
just watched i tjust now'tho thumbs up people!!!!

Great show! My only complaint, besides spiders and snakes, is the gore factor, which I know for others is nothing, but I wish there weren't quite as much blood.

And its a good thing because I generally don;t like action movies from the 70's or the 80's because with the change in technology and with so many advanced weapons, old school action looks quite bland. Although this is a treasure hunt movie, even as compared to 'National Treasure' its not as exciting but still quite an interesting affair to watch :)

The best of the 4 films... nothing can beat classic Indy!!!!! This film is very amzing and introduces a whole new genre of Action Adventure. Whoa, my favorite movie of all time. Great Team and great Cast! I say if you are looking to entertain yourself with a classic adventure, this would be it!

Without the time and effort Lucas and Spielberg put into this, then this would've been nothing more than a cheesy action-packed guilty pleasure for anyone under the age of 12 years old. I could sit here and type words and do nothning more than repeat what everyone else has said about it over the past 27 years but simply put this is one of the greatest movies - and franchises - ever made.

Here's the first installment of the "Indiana Jones" movie series: Set in the 1930s, archeologist Indiana Jones must retrieve the mythic Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis get it first. In a memorable moment of movie history, which surprised me when I saw it, Jones is chased by a rolling boulder in one sequence. What a great memorable role for Harrison Ford!

The one and the only Raiders! The best and the original - the most amazing thing about this film is how Lucas and Spielberg managed to get a face melting scene left in a PG rated movie!

it was...okay, i liked the plot and some of the action sequences were good but i didnt feel that impressed by it and the acting kinda sucked plus there was nv a moment watching the movie that i felt totally into the world of indiana jones plus his girlfriend or w/e was REALLY annoying..hoping the 2nd 1 will b a little better
